Marietta Balsamo, 78, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Marietta Balsamo, 78, of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Oct. 4. 

She was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Vincent and Conchetta Adorno Ciccone. 

She graduated from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn. For more than 24 years, she worked with her husband, who was a performer. She was his "right-hand man" and managed the lights and music for all of his shows until the duo retired in 2003. 

She is survived by her husband, Albert Balsamo; daughters, Marie Tomarchio and husband Russ, Tina MacDermott and husband Raymond and Venise Gosselin; son, Barry Traficante Jr. and his wife Michelle; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Regina Coeli Church, Route 9, Hyde Park. Father Michael Morris will officiate. Her entombment will be private in Florida.
