HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Grace M. Shaffer, 93, of Hyde Park, died Dec. 6 at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Shaffer was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie Bell Gibbons.
She was born in Poughkeepsie and was predeceased by her husband Charles Shaffer; two sons Charles Jr. and Thomas Sr.; grandson, Erich Shaffer; two brothers; Thomas and Albert Gibbons, and sister Florence Gibbons Kalis.
She is survived by two daughters Grace M. Plass; Sandra Delcotto and companion Robert W. Heinze Jr.; son Frank Shaffer Sr. (Judy); daughter-in-law Cecelia Shaffer, and 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are private and will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Paul’s Church, Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, 39 S. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie.
