HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Gertrude Brenner, 77, of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Sept. 13. She was 77.
She was born April 9, 1939, in Poughkeepsie.
She graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park in 1957. She was a bus driver for the Hyde Park Central School District for more than 30 years. She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, trips to the casino, playing cards with "her boys," and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, William and his wife, Terri; daughters, Jill and her husband Brian and Jackie; daughter-in-law, Dawn; brothers, Fred and Ron; grandchildren, Ashley, Jenna, Cheryl, Johnna, Andrew, Matthew and Austin; and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, David; son, Ronnie; and parents, William and Frances Momme Jones.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kregg Gabor will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
