Gerald 'Jerry' H. Weaver, 92, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Gerald 'Jerry' H. Weaver, a Rhinebeck resident, died Friday, Dec. 4. He was 92. 

Born July 18, 1923, in Hudson, to Floyd C. and Beulah (Miller) Weaver, he had been a Rhinebeck resident since 1951.

He was employed for 32 years as a Chemical Control Technician with IBM in Poughkeepsie. He also was a 50-year member of the Red Hook-Rhinebeck B.P.O.E. Lodge #2022, the Poughkeepsie Yacht club and AARP. 

He was predeceased by his wives, Mary McGraw and Ann Honan MacDonald Weaver; step-daughter, Bonnie A. Briggs; a brother, Floyd 'Red' Weaver; and a sister, Doris 'Dottie' Smith.

He is survived by his son John 'Jack', and his wife Marianne Weaver; daughter, Catharine 'Cathy' and her husband David Ruzbasan; step-son, Gary and his wife Sandy MacDonald; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck. Members of the Red Hook-Rhinebeck Elks will conduct services at 7 p.m., followed by a vigil service. 

In recognition of the friendship and compassionate care he received, the family requests memorial donations be made in his memory to The Baptist Home, 46 Brookemeade Drive, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
