Diane Carol Reilly, 65, Staatsburg Resident

STAATSBURG, N.Y. — Longtime Staatsburg resident Diane Carol Reilly died on Saturday, May 7. She was 65.

She was born July 16, 1950, in Yonkers, Carol was the daughter of the late Daniel and Marilyn Spar. Her mother died when she was very young and her father married the former Lillian Fox. 

A Yonkers native, Reilly was predeceased by her mother, Marilyn Spar, at a young age and her father, Daniel Spar, married the former Lillian Fox. 

A graduate of Yonkers High School, Reilly worked for the Hyde Park Central School District for 28 years; retiring in June, 2012. 

While with the district, she worked at Haviland Junior High School and Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. 

Reilly was a member of the Hyde Park Reformed Dutch Church. 

In addition to her husband, Francis "Butch" Reilly, she is survived by her daughter, Katherine Tolwinski and her husband, Jason; son, Timothy Reilly, and his wife, Kim; grandsons, Christopher, Andrew, Timothy, Jacob and Tyler; three great-grandsons; sister, Susan Rettela, and husband, Jerry; and sister-in-law, Marlene Reilly of Hopewell Junction.

Reilly was predeceased by her brothers, Peter and Victor Spar, and brother-in-law, Charles Reilly. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 12, at The Hyde Park Reformed Dutch Church, Rte. 9, in Hyde Park. 

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
