HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Dennis J. Fitzpatrick, 68, of Hyde Park, died Thursday, Sept. 15. He was 68.
He was born Jan. 22, 1948 in Poughkeepsie.
He was a school bus driver for the Poughkeepsie City School District for many years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, an accomplished drummer (he played in many bands in the area), and he liked to draw and was a talented artist. He also was an avid New York Giants and New York Mets fan.
On Oct. 10, 1987, in Poughkeepsie, Fitzpatrick married the former Sandra E. Bolde, who resides at their home in Hyde Park.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra E. Bolde; son, Stephen Anspach, and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Robin Ball and her husband, Jeff; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Laken "Princess" Burns, and her husband, William, Shawn "Hunter Two Eyes" Anspach, and his fianceé, Jessica Raymo, Kristianna "Pebbles" Powers, Stephen Anspach Jr., and his wife Cindy, Brandee and Matthew Anspach, Cody Nassball, William Grega and David Soddano Jr.; sister, Susan Grega of Kingston; sister, Karen Doughty and her husband, Dwayne; and sister, Laura Powell and her husband, Charles.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial calling hours will be from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 5 p.m.
