HYDE PARK, N.J. – Carey Lynn Sherow, a resident of Hyde Park, died Monday, March 21, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 32.
Daughter of Josephine Ingels Sherow of Hyde Park and the late Thomas Sherow Sr., she was born Sept. 23, 1983, in Poughkeepsie. She attended Hyde Park Schools. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Poughkeepsie. She enjoyed watching television and was an avid wrestling fan. She liked arts and spent some of her free time coloring. She enjoyed the outdoors, shopping and playing lottery. She treasured time spent with her family and many friends.
In addition to her mother, Josephine Sherow, she is survived by her siblings, Sharon Sherow of Hyde Park, Thomas Sherow of Hyde Park, Charlene DuBois and her husband, Clifford, of Poughkeepsie, Shari Sherow of Hyde Park, Cynthia Cimorelli of Poughkeepsie, Brian Sherow of Hyde Park, and Suzette Hyson and her husband, Bruddy of Poughkeepsie; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, who preceded her in death in 1989, she was predeceased by her brother, Todd Sherow, in 2003 and her niece, Serina Williams, in 2014.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 25, from 4-8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 161 Mansion St., Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in the family plot at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main St. in Wappingers Falls.
