The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess County residents regarding the residency of 30-year-old Anthony Ferdon, who has moved from an apartment on Main Street in Poughkeepsie to a residence on Dutchess Hill Road in Hyde Park.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Ferdon as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Ferdon had sexual contact and intercourse with a 14-year-old girl in 2008 and was convicted of sexual misconduct the following year. He was sentenced to six years probation in June 2009. He is now under the jurisdiction of the New Windsor Town Police Department.
