Isaias New Power Outage Update For Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan: These Communities Most Affected

Utility crews have been working around the clock to make repairs after the storm sent trees flying into power lines and utility poles, causing mass outages throughout Dutchess, Ulster, and Sullivan counties.

In Dutchess County, Central Hudson was reporting 16,068 customers were still without power, with an additional 11,745 NYSEG customers still in the dark.

Central Hudson was also reporting 3,772 outages in Ulster, and just 20 in Sullivan County. NYSEG had 562 customers in Sullivan and 121 in Ulster County remained without power.

According to Central Hudson, in Dutchess, more than 1,000 outages were being reported in East Fishkill (4,574), Wappinger (1,492), Union Vale (1,470), Washington (1,306), and LaGrange (1,301).

The hardest-hit NYSEG customers in Dutchess include Beekman (3,888), Dover (2,923), Pawling (2,317), and Amenia (2,315).

“Our crews continue to make significant progress in restoring electrical services to our customers. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to recover from this historic storm,” Ryan Hawthorne, Assistant Vice President of Electric Engineering and Operations at Central Hudson said in a statement. “We also want to thank the emergency responders as well as our municipal, county and state officials for their assistance and support.”
