Hyde Park Water System Flushing May Cause Discoloration

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Hyde Park residents in the Pinebrook service area should expect discoloration and turbidity of their water during an upcoming water main flushing on Tuesday, May 31, according to the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority.

Dutchess County officials said residents should not run their water for two to three hours after the flushing, which will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. In addition, residents should also avoid washing clothes during the flushing.
