RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- An event called Porchfest drew hundreds to Rhinebeck on Saturday for free music, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Guitarist John Platania, who plays for Van Morrison, performed on a stage set up on the lawn of a house in Rhinebeck, which he regards as his "home," the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
The event's stages are porches at people's homes, said the Poughkeepsie Journal report.
“It’s fantastic to bring the community together,” the guitarist reportedly said, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
