54-Year-Old From Dutchess Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Victim 'Familiar With Him'

A Hudson Valley man has been arrested and charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a victim who was "familiar with him."

Dutchess County resident Orlando Ramos, age 54, of LaGrange, was arrested on Wednesday, July 27, and charged with a criminal sex act and two counts of sexual abuse, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

In December of 2021, state police began investigating a possible sexual assault. The investigation determined Ramos sexually assaulted the victim who was familiar with him, Hicks said.

Ramos was arraigned before the Dutchess County Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond.
