More than 45 Hudson Valley artists who are active U.S. military, veterans, or family of service members are displaying their works - from crafts to film to music, painting, photography, sculpture, theater, writing and more.
The entire weekend is free and open to the publc.
On Friday, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., there will be opening ceremonies and reception, and free writing workshops.
On Saturday, there is an open jam for musicians, those involved in interactive theater and more.
There are over 45 veterans in the show. Wolf Critton -- who served in the U.S. Army and Iraq, will be performing at the Friday opening and Saturday open jam.
Sunday closes with a performance by U.S. Army veteran Gil Tarbox and Nimham Mountain Singers, from 4-4:30 p.m.
The first 20 high school or college students to show school ID at either the Saturday or Sunday performances at Veteran Arts Showcase receives a free dinner or movie coupon.
Twenty students who sign in over the weekend events get a chance for their school's art or service-oriented group to win $250. Three schools can win.
