The three performances will be Friday through Sunday, Nov. 11-13, and tickets are on sale now.
Organizers describe it as "based on Professor Brian McAdoo's earth science survey of the African American burial grounds in Rhinebeck, conversations about race in our community, historical documents and the 1834 Revolutionary War pension application of a 93-year-old black farmer from Milan named Andrew Frazier."
Its cast includes Crystal Dickinson, Tim Guinee, Russell Jones, Mary Stuart Masterson, Marcel Spears and John Douglas Thompson. It's written by Jeremy Davidson and Carl Cofield will direct. Projection design is by Rasean Davonte Johnson, sound design is by Elisheba Ittoop and lighting design is by Alan Edwards.
On Friday and Saturday, the performance are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $27.50, or $10 for students. Click here to purchase tickets.
On Sunday, it's a "community performance" that's organized a little differently. To hopefully motivate younger people in the community, the admission cost is "pay what you wish." But you still need to reserve seats, using the above link.
That performance begins at 2 p.m.
All performances will be at the Barn at Brook No Evil Farm, 73 Starbarrack Road, in Red Hook.
