STAATSBURG, N.Y. -- The Friends of the Staatsburg Library will present "A Christmas Memory" at the Locusts-on-the-Hudson estate on Sunday.

Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" tells the story of Capote's childhood friendship with an older, eccentric relative and their Christmas traditions. Actor Evan Stern will lead the performance.

A holiday singalong with Staatsburg pianist and vocalist Kathleen Landis will follow.

Tickets can be purchased at the library in advance or at the door the day of the event. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors, and free for veterans.

The performance begins at 2 p.m. Locusts-on-the-Hudson is at 135 Old Post Road.

Profits will benefit library programs throughout the year. Owner Andre Balazs has donated use of the estate for the event.
