DOVER PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Council on Addiction Prevention and Education will host events on ending opioid addiction in Dover Plains on Wednesday and in Amenia on Saturday, April 23.
Participants will learn the signs of addiction, where to help, how to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs and learn how to administer naloxone to treat an overdose.
Each event is open to the community. Participants only need to RSVP for the naloxone training portion of the events.
The Dover Plains event takes place at Dover High School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. RSVP by calling 845-877-5700, ext. 1282.
The Amenia event at Amenia Town Hall runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 845-518-4636 to RSVP.
