NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - Daily Voice sat down with North Salem High's Henry Sassone, as part of our continuing series on Athletic Directors.
Henry Sassone has been a fixture at North Salem High School for the last 32 years, coaching the boys varsity basketball team for the entire stretch. Sassone is entering his 30th year as the school's director of athletics.
Sassone, a Patterson resident, grew up in Yonkers and attended Lincoln High School, where he was a three-sport athlete, playing baseball, basketball and football.
He later went to Manhattan College (where he played two years of baseball) before doing grad work at Fordham University.
Check out the video to see Daily Voice talk to Sassone about his work, his passion for coaching, and what he loves about being the driving force behind the North Salem Athletic Department.
