Tip By Computer Repair Service Leads To Child Porn Arrest Of Carmel Man

A tip by a computer repair business led to the arrest of a 52-year-old man for possession of child pornography.

New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Mark K. Treulieb of Carmel on Tuesday, Feb. 26 on three counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child, all Class E felonies.

Troopers received the tip of possible child pornography from Treulieb’s computer repair service, state police said. An investigation by both Investigators and the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit after the execution of a search warrant granted by the town of Carmel Court led to the discovery of multiple illegal images, according to police.

Treulieb was arraigned before the town of Carmel Court before the Honorable Judge Jacobellis, and released on his own recognizance to return on Tuesday, March 26.
