The two-year project, spearheaded by Thompson and several volunteers, painstakingly renovated the landmark, which was originally established in 1803.
The effort included a full-scale renovation of the cemetery’s underground receiving vault.
The cemetery, which is located on Cat Ridge Road, has over 50 internments, including Revolutionary War and Civil War veterans.
