NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Local musicians had a great time duking it out  -- and delighting crowds  -- at North Salem’s first-ever “Battle of the Bands.”

The late-October event was held at Chase Meadows Farm on Mills Road, which is owned by Barbara Howard and Jim Gadsden and organized by Martin Aronchick.

Entertaining the crowds were Gilbert, Full Circle and Goat Rodeo.

Gilbert, a group of local students, set the stage for the evening’s festivities with their covers of Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin hits.

Members of the band included keyboardist Eddie Fiscella, guitarist Justin Giachetto, bassist Wilson Yarnell and drummer Owen Hughes. Tara Curran provided the vocals.

Next up was Full Circle, headed by Jen White, a 1991 graduate of North Salem High School.

White, a singer, was accompanied by Greg Kahn, on guitar; Daniel Melli, on keys; Bradley Fox, on drums; Luis Yanes, on guitar; and Osvin Yanes, on bass.

Goat Rodeo, with vocals and guitar by North Salem's own Eric Pooley, closed the evening with their improvisational brand of classic rock and blues.

Joining Eric on stage were Stephen Dahlquist, Tom Casciato and Jeffrey Owen Parry.
