Lee, who's been at her Liberty Street location five years (as well as five years in a previous Poughkeepsie location), takes care in training and educating her team, so that everyone can perform the services offered at the salon seamlessly. "The client is our first priority and since the entire team is so educated and well versed in service technique, our clients can feel comfortable working with everyone," she explained.
Her other big mission is sustainable beauty. Lee recently created a partnership with Davines, a zero impact beauty-sustainable haircare line that's made from farmed ingredients all over the world and packaged in plastics that are recyclable and reusable. She plan to use products sourced from pure, filler-free ingredients and to provide services that keep the integrity of one's hair, skin, and nails.
So, what's popular in terms of hairstyles? For women, a shoulder-length cut is the sought-after look. Women are looking for a soft, wavy texture that emulates the natural style of the hair, she said. For men, the salon is seeing a move away from the long man-bun hair into a more intentional, clean-cut style.
As for what's new at the salon, Lee said they recently added a new vegan spray tan and are now providing natural nail services with gel polish. The salon also added an entirely new blow-dry line to their haircare.
