ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A West Haverstraw man was busted on drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop Tuesday by Stony Point police.
Tyler Schaub, 25, was stopped around 10:45 p.m. for several traffic violations, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.
During the stop, officers found Schaub was in possession of a gravity knife, 22 baggies of cocaine and one baggie of suboxone, Hylas said.
During his arrest, officers also found a hypodermic needle hidden in his waistband, he added.
Schaub was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell; felony criminal possession of a controlled substance; criminal possession of a weapon; criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
He is being held at the Stony Point Police Department pending arraignment.
