Hudson Valley Store Employees Nabbed For Selling Pot To Minor, Police Say

Two Westchester County store employees were nabbed for allegedly selling pot and an electronic cigarette to a minor during a sting operation.

The arrests took place in Dobbs Ferry and Hartsdale on Wednesday, June 8,

The Greenburgh drug and alcohol task force conducted the first bust at the Dobbs Ferry Convenience On The Go located at 21 Cedar St., in the Village of Dobbs Ferry, said Capt. Kobie Powell, of the Greenburgh Police.

The minor entered the store and purchased two pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes. The employee, Andy Emeterio, age 19, was arrested and charged with unlawful sale of cannabis, a violation, Powell said.

Emeterio was released and issued a desk appearance ticket.

The second arrest took place at the Hartsdale Tobacco Corp. located at 205 E. Hartsdale Ave., for selling an electronic cigarette and cannabis products to the minor, Powell said.

The employee, Mohemmed Abisse, age 30, was charged with unlawful dealing with a child and criminal sale of cannabis, police said.

Abisse was released and issued an appearance ticket.  He had previously been arrested on the same charges by the task force, Powell said.
