MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- A Goshen man maimed when a fire extinguisher exploded last week is recovering from his injuries, according to a report by News12.
Frank J. Buono, 23, was standing nearby when Christopher Foust, 35, of Warwick, was filling the extinguisher at a fire equipment supply company in Orange County when it ruptured, according to a report by recordonline.com.
They both worked at Oprandy’s Fire & Safety Equipment in Middletown, according to recordonline.com.
Buono, who lost his right leg, has undergone surgery and has been told by doctors that he might be able to keep his knee, the News12 story said.
Foust, a former Warwick firefighter, lost both his legs, according to media reports.
