The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Rockland residents regarding the residency of 38-year-old Helen Fahy, who has moved from the Albion Correctional Facility to a Larkin Lane residence in Garnerville.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Fahy as a level two threat, which means she is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Fahy had sexual intercourse and contact with a 16-year-old teen that she "was a person of authority" for, in August 2016. She was convicted in October the following year of third-degree rape with a victim under the age of 17 and sentenced to 18 months in state prison. Fahy is now under the jurisdiction of the Haverstraw Town Police Department.

Further info on Fahy from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
