Elvin Mejiagomez, 35, was arrested around 2:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, after a Rockland County Sheriff's patrol officers, observed Mejiagomez driving a vehicle in Kennedy Dells Park with his dog on the roof, creating a hazardous situation, the department said.
Once stopped, deputies found that Mejiagomez was allegedly driving drunk and had alcohol in the vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said.
Mejiagomez was arrested and charged with DWI, drinking alcohol in a vehicle and operation of a vehicle with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more.
He was released on a summons to appear in court on Feb. 18 in Clarkstown.
