Formerly located in Westhampton Beach and accessible only by passing through the Haagen-Dazs store, Brunetti Pizza is set to reopen near Main Street by Memorial Day 2020, which is the shop’s 10-year anniversary.

The reason for the closure involves the large construction project in the area that began in September. Numerous Main Street businesses have closed their doors while construction crews build a new roadway, sidewalks, storm drains and underground utility lines. The project is expected to be completed in December, officials say.

Pizza enthusiasts cite Brunetti as one of the first pizzerias on Long Island to craft Naples-style pies. They’re known for being thin in the center, puffy around the edges and soft rather than crispy. Each pie is baked in the shop’s domed, wood-burning brick oven known as “Bella.”

Michael Brunetti, the shop’s owner, plans to expand the menu and add tables to the sidewalk of the new location, ensuring consistency with quality and selection.
