Robin E. Rosenberg serves as President of the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center, a 19th century former textile mill complex located in West Haverstraw that leases space to a variety of businesses, including light industry, artists and artisans. While serving as director of the Center in the mid-1990s, Ms. Rosenberg divided underutilized second floor manufacturing spaces into artist studio spaces. The success of this venture led to the birth of a thriving and creative industrial and arts community. Recently, as a result of Ms. Rosenberg’s efforts, the Center was listed on the National and New York State Registers of Historic Places.
In 2003, Ms. Rosenberg developed and continues to serve as President of GARNER Arts Center (formerly GAGA), a not-for-profit arts and cultural organization which promotes the visual, performing and educational arts. As President, Ms. Rosenberg has organized the highly successful annual GARNER Arts Festival, attracting thousands of visitors and tourists from throughout the tri-state area and Mid-Hudson Region.
Prior to joining Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center full-time as President in 2001, Ms. Rosenberg, an attorney, practiced with the Manhattan law firm of Sive, Paget & Riesel, P.C., where she was a partner. Ms. Rosenberg also serves or has served on several not-for-profit boards, including as First Vice-Chair of the United Way of Rockland County, as a Director of the Arts Council of Rockland and as President and Director of the former Greater Haverstraw Chamber of Commerce and the North Rockland Chamber of Commerce. She is the recipient of numerous business and arts awards and recognitions.
