Earlier this year NJ Transit's Board of Directors designated $100 million to buy 332 45-foot buses that would be destined for nine different companies. The intention was to incorporate the buses over a severn year period, lohud.com reported.

Of the planned buses, 64 were for Rockland Coaches Red and Tan Lines. The bus companies run eight routes, and six of them make stops in Rockland before traveling into New Jersey and New York City, according to lohud.com.
