A Rockland County man is behind bars after being busted with crack cocaine and brass knuckles when police investigated a suspicious vehicle in a Nyack parking lot. Officers from the Orangetown Police Department were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle at approximately 9:45 on Friday, March 8, which was left in the lot for an extended period of time. According to police, while investigating, officers found Nyack resident Andy Tassy, 46, as a passenger inside the suspicious vehicle, allegedly in possession of crack cocaine and metal knuckles. Woman, 28, With Active Warrant Caught With Heroin In Nyack
A woman with an active warrant out for her arrest was busted with heroin and a hypodermic needle after being stopped by Orangetown Police officers in Nyack. Officers from the Orangetown Police Department stopped Nyack resident Victoria Fiorelli, 28, at approximately 3:08 p.m. on Friday, April 20 on Main Street, where it was known that she had an active warrant out of the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department for her arrest on various charges. Police: Nyack Man Charged With Assault After Punching Female Family Member
A 27-year-old Nyack man is facing charges after Orangetown Police say he injured a female family member by punching her in the head and neck during an argument that escalated. Nicholas Perez allegedly punched the victim several times, causing substantial pain and swelling, police said. He was arrested at the scene, charged with third-degree assault and transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters, where he was processed. Perez was arraigned and released after posting $300 cash bail. He's due to return to Village of Nyack Justice Court at a future date.
