A 30-year-old autistic man who had wandered away from an Airbnb his family was staying at in the region was found hours later with the help of drones. The incident occurred Saturday, June 15, in Sullivan County around 1 a.m., in the town of Forestburgh. Drone Helps Nab Prolific Burglar Who Targeted 11 Capital Region Businesses, Police Say
A prolific burglar who targeted nearly a dozen businesses in the region was caught with the help of a drone, police said. Albany County resident Jesse Stockman, age 37, of Colonie, was arrested Friday, Jan. 12, in connection with several break-ins at businesses in Colonie. Colonie Police were called at around 10 p.m. for a report of a commercial burglary in progress near Troy-Schenectady and Old Loudon roads. The culprit fled before officers arrived. A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly punching his father in the face numerous times and then fleeing from police before being caught with the help of a drone and K9 officer. Police are investigating after a drone flew above Yankee Stadium in the middle of Yankees-Red Sox, according to NJ.com. The incident took place on Saturday, July 16 when the Yankees were en route to beating the Sox 1-14. The drone reportedly zipped around in the air for 15 minutes near the Delta Airlines sign in the right-center field, NJ.com said. Man Dies After Falling Attempting To Retrieve Downed Drone In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A man from the area was killed after reaching for a downed drone and falling more than 250 feet in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County in Deerpark around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
