Officers Bravely Rescue 2 Dogs Trapped In Culvert In Region A barking dog for two hours led police in the region to two dogs that were stuck in an underground culvert box. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 29 in the village of Liberty. According to Liberty Police Chief, Steven D'Agata, officers followed the parking to an underground box running along Edgar Street. Dog Rescued After Falling Down Catch Basin In Hudson Valley A cute little pooch with vision problems was saved from a catch basin along a Hudson Valley roadway by a local police officer. The dog was saved in Rockland County on Monday, April 10, when Stony Point Police Sgt. Kurt Mulligan happened to spot the dog while on patrol along Buckbert Mountain Road in Tomkins Cove, the department said on Facebook. At around 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, when Pleasantville firefighters were notified that a dog named Miller was stuck in Opperman's Pond and unable to climb out.
