A Connecticut man employed as a nurse at a New York prison is charged with raping an inmate, police say. The incident was originally reported by New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision officials at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Northern Westchester in September 2022, state police said. 2 Northern Westchester Prisons Involved In Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against New York
Two women's prisons in Northern Westchester are involved in a civil lawsuit being filed against the state of New York alleging that several incidents of sexual assaults happened at the facilities. After serving 27 years for murdering her lover’s wife in a case that attracted national attention and which was chronicled in two movies, Carolyn Warmus is now a free woman. A former Rockland County woman who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing her son lost a bid on Friday in the New York State Court of Appeals to have her murder conviction reviewed, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A.
