Woman Wanted For Stealing Phone From LI Walmart, Police Say

An alert has been issued by police investigators on Long Island as they attempt to locate a suspect who allegedly stole a cellphone from a store in Commack last month.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who stole a mobile phone from Walmart on Crooked Hill Road.

The alleged shoplifting incident happened at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. The phone had a value of approximately $59, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the woman, or who has information regarding the theft or who knows of the whereabouts of the suspect has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” with the message to 274637.
