Saturday, Aug. 5 to Sunday, Oct. 1

  • New York Renaissance Faire, Tuxedo: Elizabethan England is brought to life in Sterling Forest. where 300 costumed characters, dancers, strolling minstrels, and storytellers filter around a Tudor style marketplace of period crafts and games. Food, drink, horseback jousting, and more. The event is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; details at 845-351-5171.

Saturday, Sept. 16

  • Pine Bush Harvest Festival, Pine Bush:  Celebrate the harvest in the hamlet of Pine Bush, adjacent to the Shawangunk Mountains. It’s a day of entertainment for all ages with arts and crafts, a farmers market, live music, food, games and more. The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; details at 845-744-5856.
  • Fiesta Latina, Museum Village, Monroe: Feel the warmth of Latin culture as live salsa music fills the air. Latin icon and recording artists “Cuboricua” will be performing. A variety of fun-filled activities and games are planned, along with appearances by noted speakers, book giveaways, face painting, and vendors. The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 845-782-8248.

Sunday, Oct. 1

  • Warwick Applefest, Warwick: Visit the historic village of Warwick and shop at hundreds of craft and food vendors. Sit and relax while listening to music and entertainment all day on several stages. Enjoy the wonderful farmer’s market, apple pie contest, and children’s carnival. The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 845-986-2720.
