Eat Your Way Through Orange County With Hudson Valley Restaurant Week

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- At the risk of sounding like your spouse, consider this your reminder to make your Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HRVS) reservations.

The two-week long event, a celebration of the bounty of the Hudson Valley, starts Monday, Oct. 30 and goes until Sunday, Nov. 12 and spots fill up fast.

More than 200 restaurants throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan participate, allowing chefs to flaunt their best fare. Special three-course menus are $22.95 for lunch and $32.95 for dinner and often focus on seasonal ingredients. 

New this year: Spotlighting the color purple, i.e. purple produce such as cauliflower, Japanese eggplant, potatoes, beets and Brussels sprouts.

Also new: A bunch of Orange County restaurants, among them Borland House Inn in Montgomery, Cena 2000 in Newburgh, Cosimo's Woodbury in the Central Valley, Liberty Street Bistro in Newburgh, Limoncello at Orange Inn in Goshen, MacArthur's Riverview Restaurant at the Thayer Hotel in West Point, and Scalia & Co. Craft Kitchen & Bar in Monroe.
