Westchester Man Accused Of Stabbing, Choking Victim During Assault A 26-year-old man has been arrested for an assault in which he allegedly choked and stabbed another man. Westchester County resident Michael Owoo, of North Salem, was arrested on Long Island on Tuesday, Feb. 16 in East Meadow for the assault which took place on Monday, Feb. 15, said the Nassau County Police. Man Clinging To Kayak Without Life Jacket Rescued In Long Island Sound A 27-year-old man holding on to his kayak without a life jacket was rescued in the Long Island Sound  It happened on Wednesday, July 8 at around 11 p.m. off the coast of Oyster Bay, approximately half mile from Center Island, Nassau County Police said. Nassau County Marine Bureau 5 discovered the man yelling for help. He was then recovered from the water by Marine Bureau and brought back to shore.  He was treated by Nassau County medical personnel and in stable condition.

The incident took place off the north coast of Long Island around 10:27 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, in Oyster Bay. According to Nassau County Police, the department's boat Marine 6 and Helicopter 4 received a call for a medical emergency in the Long Island Sound approximately one mile north of Lloyd Harbor. Upon arrival, units discovered a man on a boat in and out of consciousness, apparently due to severe intoxication, police said.
