With over 120 members, the group is always looking for new blood. The audition process is quick: meet with the Choral Society's Music Director for about 10 minutes, where previous experience will be discussed and vocal exercises are performed. New Castle Police Warn Residents About Water Bill Scam NEW CASTLE, N.Y. – New Castle police want residents to be aware of a phone scam from someone who's impersonating a Water Department official. A resident reported receiving a phone call from someone who threatened to shut off their water unless they were immediately paid. The Water Department will never call you and threaten to shut off the water, even if an account is past due. Police say the preferred response is to hang up on the caller. Man Faces Charges Of Using Fake ID At Yonkers DMV YONKERS, N.Y. – A Bronx man was arrested and charged after he was accused of trying to use a fake Social Security card at the Yonkers DMV office on Tuesday, police said. Richard Castro, 44, attempted to use the card to obtain a state identification card, police said, and was arrested and charged with having a fake ID and attempting to use it. Castro was charged with a second-degree felony of criminal possession of a false instrument and a first-degree felony of offering a false instrument. He was arraigned in Yonkers City Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail.

Putnam Could See Round Of Thunderstorms PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Putnam County will be dealing with thunderstorms over the next few days. While the National Weather Service forecast for rain ranges between 20 and 30 percent Wednesday and Thursday, with a much higher chance on Friday. The odds for rain on Friday are 70 percent, with thunderstorms likely. Forecasts are predicting anywhere between one-half to three-quarters an inch of rain, with precipitation possible straight through Tuesday. Temps are expected to range in the low 80s through Tuesday, with evening highs in the mid-to-high 60s.

Yonkers Cab Driver Robbed YONKERS, N.Y. – A Yonkers cab driver says he was robbed early Tuesday morning by two armed men, according to News 12. Quaiser Zaidi says he was punched and robbed by assailants at St. Mark's Place near McLean Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Zaidi was held at gunpoint as the robbers stole his cellphone and cash, reported News 12.
