Man Accused Of Secretly Recording Woman During Tanning Session In Great Neck Plaza A 27-year-old man is facing an unlawful surveillance charge after police said he secretly recorded a woman while she was using a tanning room on Long Island. Demetrius Sumter, of St. Albans, was arrested for the incident that happened in Great Neck Plaza at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, the Nassau County Police Department said. A 20-year-old woman entered the tanning room at Planet Fitness, located at 38 Great Neck Road, and after completing the tanning session, she saw what appeared to be a cellphone recording in the ceiling panels, police said. 33-Year-Old Accused Of Leaving Scene After Striking Man With Car In East Islip A 33-year-old man was charged after police said he left the scene of a crash that seriously injured a bicyclist on Long Island. A 30-year-old Islip man was struck by a car in East Islip at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Man Airlifted To Hospital After Car Strikes Him In Holtsville A 41-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle on Long Island. The crash happened in Holtsville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, the Suffolk County Police Department reported. SCPD said a 41-year-old Massapequa Park man was riding a bicycle north on North Ocean Avenue when he tried to make a left turn near Jamaica Avenue, and a northbound 2007 Honda Civic struck him. New Beginnings: Popular Italian Restaurant In Monroe To Relocate After 25 Years The owner of a popular Italian restaurant in Fairfield County has announced plans to close the eatery as he prepares to move the restaurant to a new location. Carl Anthony Trattoria in Monroe will close its current location at 477 Main St. and relocate to a nearby neighborhood, representatives announced on Thursday, Jan. 5. 'It Was Just For Fun': Man Faces Arson Charge After Blaze At Southbury Training School A 21-year-old man was charged with arson after a fire destroyed an unoccupied cottage in Connecticut last month. $100K Winning Lottery Tickets Sold At 2 Hartford County Stores Two Connecticut residents have just claimed $100,000 lottery prizes. The two residents of Hartford County both won their prizes on Tuesday, Jan. 3, Connecticut Lottery announced. An unnamed Newington resident won a CASH5 prize from a ticket purchased at Newington Food Land, CT Lottery said. The store is located at 60 Walsh Ave. in Newington.
