NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle High School announced the installation of a National Art Honor Society mural near the school's security office.
The mural includes painted portraits of students and staff at the school on roughly 75 roof slates from the school's turret, taken down after a a lightning strike and fire about seven years ago.
The theme of the mural is "Ujima," meaning togetherness and community, utilizing various purple shades to symbolize the school and its community.
