NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Trump the man can be as charming as Trump the candidate can be repellent, says New Rochelle’s Noam Bramson in a piece he wrote for The Huffington Post.
Bramson, a Democrat and the city’s mayor since 2006, met and liked the Republican presidential front-runner and billionaire businessman Donald Trump when he came to the city several years ago to celebrate the building Trump Plaza, a 40-story luxury residence downtown, his Huffington Post post said.
But Bramson went on -- in, he admits, "uncharacteristically strong language" -- to compare the Bedford resident to other historical figures who could be quite pleasant in their private lives, but absolutely monstrous in their public ones.
