A package containing the urn — which holds the ashes of the victim’s father — was stolen from the Village Green Apartment Complex in Budd Lake sometime between 12:50 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Feb. 26, Sheriff James M. Gannon said.

The urn has a motorcycle on top and is engraved with the victim’s father’s name, Gannon said.
