New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said that the two women, a mother and daughter, were stabbed inside their New Rochelle home on Bellview Place shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.

The investigation determined that New Rochelle resident Craig Kishroy Dubery, Jr., 21, stabbed one of his victims outside of the Bellview Place home, and his second victim was found stabbed inside the residence.

Both women, who sustained multiple stab wounds and were transported to a local hospital for treatment, are currently in stable condition, Costa said. The incident was domestic in nature after a verbal dispute escalated prior to the stabbings, police said.

Dubery proceeded to flee the scene and was arrested near Brookdale Avenue, where a knife, which is believed to have been used in the stabbings was recovered, Costa said.

After being arrested, Dubery has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault and he is scheduled to be arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on Thursday, July 18.
