Steven Henry Sindos, 53, Former New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Steven Henry Sindos, a former New Rochelle resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 17. He was 53.

Sindos was born Dec. 12, 1959, in Raleigh, N.C., son of Henry and Louise Sindos. He was raised in New Rochelle and after graduating from New Rochelle High he went on to Boston University and then continued his education in law, receiving a JD Degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Law School in 1986. He was employed by the Legal Aid Society of New York in Manhattan and Brooklyn for the last 26 years. He was also a long time member of the Legal Aid Law Association.

Sindos is survived by his mother, Dr. Louise Sindos; sisters, Catherine Sindos and Dr. Maria Sindos-Parker; brother-in-law, Joseph Parker; and nephew and niece. He was predeceased by his father; and brother, Anthony Sindos.

Calling hours Friday, Sept. 27 from 10 to 12 p.m., with a 12:00 p.m. funeral home chapel service. Interment will follow in the Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla NY.
