WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-- Rae A. DiRienzo, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was 82.
DiRienzo was born Dec. 6, 1933, in New Rochelle to her parents Pasquale and Rose (Cerreta) Aloise.
DiRienzo worked for more than 30 years as a telephone operator for Sound Shore Medical Center and was an active member of the Hugh Doyle Senior Center.
Her husband, Clement, died in 1980. She is survived by her children Roseann Plank, John DiRienzo, Valerie Jordan, Glen DiRienzo, and Dawn DiRienzo and six grandchildren.
Visiting will be Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
