Police in Westchester are investigating a claim that a middle school student was sexually abused by a security guard.
Investigators at the New Rochelle Police Department were notified last week of an Albert Leonard Middle School student who alleges that a security guard was involved in a sexual abuse incident.
According to police, the student was allegedly abused last month, and the security guard in question is no longer employed at the middle school. No other information has been released.
"The district immediately notified the New Rochelle Police Department on Friday when an Albert Leonard Middle School student made an allegation of past inappropriate contact by a former school employee,” officials said in a statement. “The district is fully cooperating with the investigation."
