NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The name of the man whose body was pulled by police from the water at Glen Island Yacht Club in New Rochelle Saturday afternoon has been released, according to News 12.
Artie Karpf, the longtime manager at the club, was discovered in the water near his houseboat by one of his sons around 2 p.m. as family and friends were at a restaurant for a belated 83rd birthday party, News 12 reported.
Karpf turned 83 in December but had put off the celebration was he was battling cancer, the report said.
