NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.—Three library groups deserve thanks for their extraordinary efforts to help the New Rochelle Library.
Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library: For 35 years, the Friends have raised money for special projects at the library. They have established a bookstore inside the library, hold monthly book sales, and organize all of the donations given to the library. For more information please call (914)-813-3705.
New Rochelle Public Library Foundation: The NRPLF was founded in 1993. Their efforts have resulted in additional computers for library patrons, renovations, and many other public programs and enhancements. For more information, visit http://www.nrplfoundation.org/.
Partnership for the Huguenot Children’s Library: In 1992, a group of concerned citizens banded together to save the recently closed and vandalized Huguenot Branch Library. In 1997, they had re-opened the facility as an active children’s library. For more information, visit http://www.partnershipforthehcl.org/.
Tom Geoffino is the director of the New Rochelle Library.
