Otherwise, race day registration is from 7 to 8:30 a.m. with start time at 9 a.m., and the first wave starting at 9:20 a.m., followed by waves 15-minute intervals.
New and seasoned runners are welcome to join this Westchester running event.
The event will test accomplished veterans of track and trail while giving new runners, kids and families the opportunity to run a professionally managed, timed USATF certified one-mile road race through historic New Rochelle.
Participants may choose to compete in an age appropriate competitive wave or opt in to the less serious family wave.
However, participants must run in the wave they are assigned to receive an accurate time and be eligible for awards.
Those interested in running in a "fun in the family" wave but want to be timed in a competitive way, should select "competitive" upon registering.
The start Line is Paine Cottage, North and Paine Avenues, New Rochelle. The finish line is Health and Fitness Expo, City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle.Click here to register ($25/adult; $15/18 and over)A portion of the net proceeds from this year's race will be donated to local charities.
