This one-hour presentation features excerpts from 200 years of magical stories, with choreography that makes it easy to understand the English, Spanish, German and French literature of the masters -- Shakespeare, Cervantes, Hoffmann, Gautier and Hugo.
Chiara Ajkun’s selection includes excerpts from the ethereal "Giselle" and the vivacious "Don Quixote," the enchanting forest of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and the fun-filled "La Fille Mal Gardée."
"Ballet Fairytales" will be at 2 p.m. in the Christopher Murphy Auditorium of Iona College, 715 North Ave. and will return to New Rochelle High School in December with "The Nutcracker."
